Kid Portraits in Atlanta – Head Shots

After meeting a mom at a coffee shop, she told me about her son and possibly wanting to get some head shots in case he wanted to do any modeling. Her son loves being in front of a camera, and let me tell you, he’s got the brightest blue eyes I’ve seen! You may have seen some photographers that edit eyes to look abnormally bright (and sometimes they can even look fake). We don’t do that, however, it may look like that from this portrait session because his eyes caught the light so well. While we were having fun taking pictures, I got some sweet shots of his little sister hanging out with us too. Enjoy this sneak peek from our photo session in a local Atlanta park…

It was such a treat to be able to take these photos and we’re looking forward to doing a family session with everyone in the future! Coming up next is a family portrait session in Atlanta so stay tuned!

Twin Baby Girls – Newborn Portrait Session in Kentucky

A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of going to Kentucky to photography sweet twin baby girls. They’re not identical – in fact, they are already very different – but still the cutest things ever! Lainey and Emi (short for Emily) were born March 23 a little premature, but are doing extremely well! In fact, they are completely healthy and growing so fast!!! Their big brother is really excited to have them around too – I think he’s just ready for them to grow out of the baby stage and be able to play with him.

In case you were wondering, taking photos of babies are hard work – especially twins! We spent hours and hours trying to get them both sleeping soundly, posed perfectly and moved around for the next pose without disturbing them. We spent a lot of time changing outfits, changing diapers and changing backgrounds. As a photographer, you have to be patient and have a quick shutter finger to capture the look or expression that quickly passes on a baby’s face. With twins, it’s double the effort. Not only do you have to focus on two subjects, but you have to wait for that perfect moment when they’re both sleeping or both smiling or whatever the case may be. Despite all the hard work, we had fun too and captured some really great moments – Enjoy this twin newborn session sneak peek!

An Atlanta Newborn Photography Session

So lately we’ve been doing a lot of newborn sessions, including this amazing family in Atlanta – Charles (Chuck Jr.) and Michelle Fuhr. Their first born son is also named Chuck Jr. (the third or fourth, I can’t remember ) but they call him CJ for short. It was so fun to get Michelle’s call because she was literally still in the hospital and decided she wanted newborn portraits right away since CJ was a big newborn and looked more like a one-month old baby in size… She knew time was precious to capture the newborn stage, which is so true!

I was honored to come to their home and meet CJ and a few of the grandparents too. Below is a sneak peek from the newborn session with some sweet moments I hope you will enjoy. We started with CJ sleeping and ended with him sleeping and had fun in between – I even caught his dimple on camera, which grandma loved! Meet the Fuhr Family…

Family Portraits in Atlanta

Last week, I got to meet a fun family in Atlanta for family portraits while the kids were in town for spring break! The last time they had family portraits was over three years ago… The family will be moving to New York soon and it was really fun taking pictures in their backyard with their dog, going to a park that they love and trying to capture things they want to remember in Atlanta. Even though the kids and Jen weren’t feeling 100%, they were still able to manage the energy for our portrait session and I hope enjoyed it as much as I did! Baby Baptism in Atlanta

Happy Easter everyone! We are pleased to share with you a baby baptism captured on Palm Sunday in Atlanta. We wanted to get this up today in honor of Easter. If you’re a follower of this blog, you might recognize some faces from two newborn portrait sessions we did at the beginning of the year…

As the owner and main photographer, the best part about my job is building relationships with my clients to capture their moments together as life changes. We took Benjamin’s newborn portraits two months ago and had the honor of being hired again to capture his 3 month old baptism in Atlanta. It was so wonderful to see how Benjamin had grown and see the family again. Another family I did newborn portraits for was in attendance at the baptism so I was able to see them too! I seriously love my job!
